- 2. Description - AltNTab? I hear you say!
-
- This is a small commodity program which controls the order or your windows
- in much the same way that the depth button does, although with less control.
- AltNTab cycles through the windows, rather than bringing a particular one to
- the front.
-
- I know some people may be scared of what this does to the Amiga to obtain
- this. Well it does nothing I would class as illegal. It does not hack into
- anything. The program sets up a commodity broker from which you can control
- it, but mainly to give AltNTab a safe and reliable way to recieve a hotkey.
- Once it recives the hotkey (which can be set up by you), it finds out which
- is the Active Window, then tells intuition to bring the next window to the
- front. If the active window is the last window in the list, it then returns
- to the begining of the list.
-

- 3. Usage - How to use this work of art!
-
- AltNTab is very easy to use. It accepts only two arguments, either from the
- CLI prompt or from the Tool Types. These arguments are...
-
- CX_PRIORITY - The priority you wish the commodity to run at.
-
- HOTKEY - The key sequence you wish to use for the window
- switching.
-
- Both arguments are optional, and have their defaults. If no CX_Priority is
- specified then it defaults to 0. If no HotKey is specified it defaults to
- "ALT TAB" :) Once the program is up and running it is invisable to the user,
- until it recieves it's HotKey, then it will switch to the next window. To
- quit the program, either run it again, or use Commodities Exchange to remove
- it.
-
-
-
- 4. Reason - Why should PC owners have it and not us!
-
- When you have more than one screen open you can use LEFT AMIGA + M to switch
- between them, this is very handy is you are using the keyboard, since you
- don't have to reach for the mouse. PC Windows users don't have seperate
- screens (mustn't have nicked that yet :)), but can use ALT + TAB to switch
- between windows. So I thought why not write one for the Amiga, surely it
- would be helpful to be able to switch windows with a key or two? Well I
- find it usefull, hope you do :)

- 5. Other BD Releases - Other excellant software
-
- Currently there are only a few of many programs fully written and released,
- here they are...
-
- 256Colour 1.0 - Corrects the palette on 16+ colour
- Workbench screens on an AGA amiga.
-
- RealTime 1.2 - The ultimate replacement to a battery
- backed up clock.
-
- ExtraScreen 1.2 - Opens a customizable Public Screen for
- any programs that require it. The
- screen is then shut down when no
- windows are open on it.
-
- StartE 1.0 - Allows you to have up to 5 extra
- startup-sequences available by holding
- down the right mouse button during
- booting.
-
- To be released...
-
- Chord 1.0 - A guitar chord database which shows how
- to play certain chords.
-
- PhoneDial 1.0 - Use you modem to dial phone numbers
- faster than you could, then drop the
- carrier for you to continue the call.
-
- ExtraScreen 2.0 - A surprising update.
-
- Plus many more that may or may not get finished :)
-

- 6. Author Info - All about the coolest guy around
-
- Hi, I'm the author :) Here's the bit where I get to bore you with lots of
- useless info about me. I'm 17, and I'm nearly finished a GNVQ IT course at
- Newcastle college. I write my programs in assembler on a Vanilla Amiga
- 1200. And if any big software companies out there wanna employ me then get
- in touch :) Anyway, here's the address for bug reports, letters of thanks,
- suicide requests, job offers and the likes...
